The name Homeopathy is derived from two Greek words, Homoios meaning like or similar and Pathos meaning suffering. A simplified example is if a healthy person chops onions, often this produces stinging wartery eyes and a running nose. If a person suffering from a cold or hayfever exhibits these symptoms, a homeopathic remedy made from the red onion will cure them.

Homeopathy is essentially a natural healing process using small amounts of natural substances such as plants or minerals to regain health by stimulating the body’s natural forces of recovery.

Homeopathic Medicine is referred to as a Remedies. Homeopathic Remedies are highly diluted natural substances made from plants, minerals and animals.

Homeopathic Remedies have no side effects, are perfectly safe, non-toxic, non-addictive and can be given to babies from birth, children and also the frail and elderly. They can also be taken alongside prescription or over the counter medication.

Homeopathic Remedies usually come in pill form though they can be prescribed in liquid or granules. Pills should not be handled: they should be allowed to dissolve under the tongue.
